Tristan et Iseult

This is the first book I had to read during my studies which I like. In fact it was the secend we were talking about.... But I did like this one. It is something similar with "Romeo and Juliet". The tragic love where the both die... But there is something magical in this tale.

Fist we meet Tristan, who's mother dies from the sorrow, because her husband had died. Only having baby was saving her life, but when he had been born she died. She told that her boy was born in the great sorrow and that's why his name will be Tristan (trist in french is sad). He had a tough life from the beggining. He was high-born but no one knew including Tristan.

Tristan is captured by the pirates and when they are on the board big storm beggins. The pirates fineally decided to give up on Tristan and they put him into the boat and they left him and survive, the pirates and Tristan.

There is something about the sea. It is deciding about his life.

Pride and Prejudice

"Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austin. I read this book because I saw the movie. I love movies when the characters wear long and beautiful dresses, they attend to the balls and everyone call each other "Mister/Misses" even if they are married! But not only movies. I love also books like that, for example "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte <3, "Wuthering hights" by Emily Bronte, "David Copperfield" by Charles Dickens, etc..

I think it is better to see the movie first and then read a book because the other way makes the movie hopeless even if it's good. So it is so just to appreciaete the movie.
This book is about a miss who comes from poor family and she has a lot of sisters to get married. She met MR. Darcy of whom she had heard is a muckety-muck. She think that he ruind her sister's marriage with a friend of Darcy, because she was poor. And there are a lot of bad things about him that she heard but they weren't true ... So she is prejudiced to him. Finelly he admitted he is in love with her but she can't accept this. After a while she finds out the things she thought about him wasn't true and he is acctually pretty good man for a husband and that she loves him too. She tells it to him and her father approves the marriage. I love this love story because I think it is different then others.

"The Old Man and the Sea"

"The Old Man and the Sea"
A book I remember from school is "The Old Man and the Sea" by Ernest Hemingway. A lot of people said that it is reaaaalllyyyy boring. But not for me. I enjoyed this book. It is about an old fishman who set out to sea. He didn't angle anything for long. He said that it is his eight hundred...... something day of not catching anything and it is his lucky day. And he was right. He got an enormous fish. But the story is about the whole journey. So when he catches this fish, what was really hard to do, he had to pull this fish in the sea because it was too big to get it into a boat. It was dangerous. Of course he didn't manage to get the fish to the land. The fish was eaten by the sharks. When he got into the beach he was so exhausted of this journey that he almost died and only skeleton left of the fish. But everyone was impressed when they saw the skeleton.

The Little Prince

"The Little Prince"
Another book is "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. It is about a boy who travel around the planets. On his own planet he lived with Rose. He loved her but Rose loved more herself that the Little Prince. So he left her and beggin to travel. He met a lot of people in different planets and every of them thought him something. The most beautiful part of this book for me is when he met a Fox. Because the Fox told him that he is responsible for those he tamed. And of course it is not only about animals but about people. When we love someone we tame that person. That person is used to us. If the one you love left you you wouldn't know what to do with your life. You would feel empty inside... I Think this part is about it to be carreful who we tame.

I like that the author showed us that children's mind can be so flexible and the adults' is close and has borders. And it is shown at the beginning of the book with sheep that is closed in the box because adult couldn't draw a picture of the perfect sheep for Little Prince or at the picture of the elephant eaten by snake - everybody saw there a hat.

I love this book. I think it is a fairytale for children but deeper it is also a great book for the adults. Even the adult can take something from this book. I read this book twice, But I'm sure that I will come back to this story.
